French Louis XV style bracket clock, 19th c., with patinated metal mounts, Boulle work and scrolled brass inlay, scrolled foliate crest, above shaped case centering gilt metal dial, with Roman numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement marked Etienne Maxant, Paris, rising on scrolled feet, accompanied by key and pendulum, not currently operational, some scattered lifting and loss to brass inlay, approx 13"h, 7"w, 5"d, 6lbs

CR 7.28.25- As mentioned in the catalog description, the clock is not currently operational. It is accompanied by a well-fitting key and pendulum. It is very difficult to wind, indicating that the movement may be fully-wound. The movement does not appear to respond to winding. As mentioned, there is some typical scattered lifting and loss to the brass inlay, and patination commensurate with age. As with all of our antique clocks, this piece would likely benefit from a professional adjustment and a thorough cleaning.
