French Louis XV style carved walnut bed, early 20th c., having pierced rocaille crest, above scalloped headboard with scrolling foliates, the conforming footboard with floral swags in heart-shaped cartouche, rising on short cabriole legs and whorl feet, further raised on casters, one leg with small patch repairs, exterior: approx 70.5"h, 81"l, 71"w, interior: approx 74.5"l, 55.25"w
CR 4.30.26-I note that the bed stands sturdy and is structurally sound, as noted in the catalog description, I observe small patched repairs to one leg (on the left side of the footboard when facing the footboard from the exterior), I also note a small area (roughly 4" long) near the center of the headboard where the veneer appears rough and textured, scattered light evidence of old woodworm, typical light lifting and losses to the walnut veneer, particularly along the lower sections of the headboard and footboard, as well as typical surface wear, including scuffing and minor abrasions, all being commensurate with age and use, please see additional images
