09/15/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT : 3444- the desk is in sturdy and stable condition, exhibiting with some small losses, wear and restorations, I do not observe any makers marks or stamps, metal mounts appear present with mellowing, rubs, spotting and wear, there is slight stable gap to trim at rear left corner, the leather top appears to have been replaced and shows imperfections with raised variation, some impressions and marks, wood structure shows tonal variation, wear, some small gouges, including to central front drawer, small areas of veneer loss and imperfection, mostly noted along edges, particularly to inner legs, there left rear leg may have had a replacement to veneer at central to lower leg as it varied in color, drawers slide well, interiors are largely clean, there is a slight gap at lock plate visible only on interior to center and right drawer, see image, overall the desk is intact showing evidence of age and use
