French Louis XVI style mahogany commode, 19th c., having shaped top, over conforming case with protruding fluted corner posts, framing three drawers, rising on tapered legs, ending on brass cap feet, approx 35.25"h, 42.5"w, 20.75"d
07.31.25: In my opinion, I note that the commode is structurally sturdy, the veneer having inherent tonal variations and fine figuring, with some typical minor wear to the finish including sparse peeled loss and spotting commensurate with age and use, the left side panel intact with minor panel separation (see image), and there is minor evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin, the front left leg with a small, minor split with some minute filled reinforcement, drawers operate smoothly and are overall well-kept with contact-lined interiors
