03.19.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 743: I note that the commode is presently intact and structurally secure, the top has minor seam separation between panels, as well as segments of a lightly contrasting wood filling gaps at central quadrant (may be original but I am unsure), there is evidence of old woodworm, and sparse visible splits/ seams, including to one of the side panels, the drawers currently operate smoothly and the interiors display water spotting and minor splits to center of bottom panel with a minute level of lifting at seam, one of the handle mounts on the middle drawer is mismatched, the gilt metal displays patination, and both of the front legs have a minute amount of visible glue from restorations, I observe typical light surface wear such as minor abrasions and scuffs
