01.10.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 148: As described there is some lifting to the veneer, particularly at the central drawer which has areas at either side both with visible glue from old restoration, and the bottom drawer also exhibits an area of lifting with isolated warping/ bubbling around split, I note that the commode is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the marble displays a small area of minute old, smooth chips near the front corner of the right side edge, additionally there are two minor fills and a small loss to marquetry at the trim directly below the central drawer, all drawers currently operate smoothly, and there is typical surface wear such as light abrasions and surface-level chips commensurate with age and use
