French Louis XVI style flame mahogany sideboard or buffet, early 20th c., having marble top with molded edge, case fitted with single drawer, over dual cabinet doors, with gilt metal trim, opening to adjustable-height shelf, framed by fluted corner posts, rising on squared tapered legs, ending on brass cap feet, approx 35.25"h, 36"w, 15.5"d
02.03.26: In my opinion regarding LOT 2143: I note that the server stands sturdy, with the cabinet doors remaining tight and secure on the hinges, and the drawer operates smoothly, interior shelving appears sturdy, and the gilt-metal trim remains securely mounted with typical patination, I observe areas of minor “alligatoring”/ crazing of the veneer finish, and a few minute finish touch ups, there is a sparse amount of typical minor surface wear such as small nicks and abrasions commensurate with age and use
