02.07.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 2454: I note that the commode is intact and structurally sturdy, the marble top being free from observed hairlines/ fractures, and having typical minor chipping to edges, which is sparse, and areas of discoloration/ staining commensurate with use, the case having an overall well-retained rich tone of the finish, the drawers operating smoothly, with patination of the metal string inlay, the lowermost drawer with loss to the top edge of string inlaid trim, the lower edge with central lifting but remaining intact currently, the upper side panels having some typical minute, narrow splits along the veneer grain, and there is typical light surface wear such as minor abrasions and nicks, as well as areas of minor scuffing near edges of front of case, this minor wear is commensurate with age and use
