French Louis XVI style matched veneer sideboard, 20th c., having shaped demilune marble top, over frieze mounted with gilt metal rinceau, fitted with five cabinet doors with bookmatched trim and polychrome floral spray marquetry, each with fixed-height shelf, fluted columnar corner posts, rising on fluted tapering legs, ending on brass cap feet, approx 40.5"h, 98.5"w, 22"d
08.14.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 3126: I note that the sideboard is structurally sturdy, the marble top being notably well-preserved with only a few minute flea bites to edge commensurate with light use, and inherent natural fissures, the lacquered finish is also in an overall well-retained state, being free from observed hairlines or losses, nor do I observe losses to the polychrome marquetry, the felt-lined drawers and cabinetry operate smoothly, and there is light patination of mounted metal elements, there is a very sparse degree of minute surface wear such as a few nicks and abrasions commensurate with age and use
