French Louis XVI style lacquered flame mahogany sideboard, 20th c., shaped marble top, over conforming case fitted with four drawers, over four cabinets, central dual cabinet doors opening to adjustable height shelf, one side cabinet opening to two fixed-height shelves, outer bar cabinet with mirrored bottom panel and glass shelf, interior lighting in need of wiring, case mounted throughout with foliated gilt metal trim, rising on tapered legs ending in brass caps, approx 40.25"h, 89.25"w, 21.5"d
10.24.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3327: I note that the sideboard is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the marble top having inherent natural inclusions and fissures, as well as typical minor chipping to edges, metal elements having gilt tonal variations, due in part to light mellowing, all remaining securely mounted to veneer, the rounded cabinet door on the right-hand side has a minor restoration to the top edge trim, one of the frontal cabinet doors having some minor alligatoring near one corner, the drawers operate smoothly, the glass shelf is free from observed fractures and significant chips, having typical minute fleabites along back edges commensurate with contact against case, the mirrored bottom having minor abrasions, with interiors being overall well-kept and clean, there is sparse typical minor surface wear such as light scuffs to marble, and a few small nicks and chips to veneer commensurate with age and use
