10.28.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3423: I note that the commode is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the marble top having inherent natural inclusions and fissures, as well as a minute reinforced hairline at the back left corner, and a couple minute nicks to edges, which are typical, the case exhibits typical tonal variations, largely from wear/ loss to the veneer finish or varnish, which is typical considering the estimated period of origin, all drawers currently operating smoothly, with patination and green oxidation to the gilt metal banding and drawer pulls, there is a minute segment of trim loss at the right side of top edge of the right-hand columnar corner post, I also observe a couple minor reinforcement to the squared wood at the corners of drawers, there is a sparse amount of typical minute surface wear such as a few light nicks and abrasions commensurate with age and use
