06.03.2026- In my opinion regarding: LOT 3265-the commode is located in a very cramped and dark area of the gallery, please refer to online images for best views available with zoom, the case is an overall sturdy and stable condition, the marble top intact with some scattered typical small chip, along edges and back, there is minor spotting,/discoloration to the top, the upper drawer slides well and fold down mechanism operates well, interior leather is worn as pictured, there are some raised areas where it appears the hardware is situated behind the leather, see images, fitted drawers need stops to inner case, as they push back completely into the case, this is an easy fix, lower drawers retain remnants of a worn green liner, the case is largely clean with some typical small nicks, tonal variation, surface wear and small losses, as visible online there is a rub noted at lower left leg, all mentioned commensurate with the antique age and use of the commode
