French Louis XVI style mahogany sideboard, 18th/ 19th c., having shaped marble top, over conforming case, fitted with dual cabinet doors, geometric brass escutcheons, the right opening to drawer and shelf, flanked by fluted columnar corner posts, rising on tapered fluted legs, ending on bold arrow feet, small trim loss to right door, stable separation to left side panel, approx 40"h, 77.25"w, 26.25"d
02.03.26: As described there is a stable seam of separation at the left side panel, and a small segment of chipped loss to a segment of the trim at right-hand cabinet door, the left side panel also having a small segment of trim loss near the top edge, I note that the sideboard stands sturdy, with areas of light finish tonal variation, as is typical, and some small, scattered chips and fills commensurate with age and use, all being overall minor, the marble top having typical minor chipping at the edges consistent with use, and I observe minor evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin, doors remain tight on hinges and interior is overall well-kept
