French Louis XVI style inlaid mahogany sideboard, early 20th c., having shaped marble top, over breakfront case fitted with three drawers, above three cabinets with parquetry and stringwork trim, mounted with central gilt-metal foliate swags, enclosing fixed and adjustable shelving, rising on tapered legs, leftmost door lacking escutcheon, ending on brass cap feet, back right corner of marble intact with restoration, approx 40.5"h, 70"w, 24"d
02.03.26: In my opinion regarding LOT 3523: As described the leftmost cabinet is lacking the gilt-metal escutcheon, and the back right corner of the marble top exhibits a restoration (see image), I note that the sideboard is structurally sturdy, the marble top having typical minor chipping, and a small, minor fill at the front left corner (see images), door operate smoothly and display overall well-kept interiors, parquetry is well-preserved and free from notable losses, I observe typical minor surface wear, which is sparse, such as minute veneer chips and nicks commensurate with age and use
