French Louis XVI style walnut commode, late 19th c., having rounded marble top, over frieze drawer, and two long drawers, framed by fluted posts, rising on tapered legs, ending on brass cap feet, stable reinforced separation at right side panel, approx 34.5"h, 53.5"w, 23.5"d
02.03.26: In my opinion regarding LOT 3138: As described there is stable reinforced separation at the curved right side panel, I note that the marble is free from observed hairlines/ fractures, having typical minor chipping at the edges, the veneer is overall well-preserved with sparse, light spotting, and some small scattered chips commensurate with age and use, the metal hardware and banding remain securely mounted with mellowing and patination of the gilded finish
