French Louis XVI style mahogany commode, 19th c., having shaped marble top, over three paneled drawers with black lacquer trim, flanked by fluted corner posts. rising on tapered legs, marble with small repair at back left corner, approx 34.5"h, 45"w, 22"d
02.03.26: In my opinion regarding LOT 2121: As described the marble exhibits small restoration at the back left corner, I note that the commode is structurally secure and stands sturdy, the marble having typical minor chipping, seemingly contained to the unfinished back edge, the left side panel is intact with a few minor splits near the lower edge (see mages), the drawers operate smoothly, the central drawer lacking a lock plate, I observe scattered small splits, all being stable and overall minor, mostly appearing at the black lacquer trim of the drawer fronts, and there is a sparse amount of typical minor surface wear such as light abrasions and small chips commensurate with age and use
