French Louis XVI style bronze dore centerpiece, late 19th c., ovular basin with removable metal liner, with protruding mounts modeled as winged female figures, above molded body with draped floral swag, rising on scrolled feet, further raised on stepped platform base, approx 15.5"h, 17.5"w, 10.5"d, 33lbs **Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**
9.23.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3044-The centerpiece stands sturdy, all swag appears present, and securely attached, demi-figures at either are a tiny bit loose, but could likely be tightened from interior, gilding is quite bright and exhibits some spotting, rubs, patination and inherent imperfections, the removable interior liner is worn, it is accompanied by a French import tag claiming it is over 100 years old, as listed we believe it is late 19thc., however I am not an expert on bronze or gilding, I would suspect it has likely been regilded, a careful examination of the screws to the base appear to show a variation in wear/tone, I have taken extensive images for your review, so please let me know if you have further questions
