French Louis XVI style mahogany server, late 19th/ early 20th c., shaped marble top above a conforming case with gilt-bronze mounts, single frieze drawer, pair of cabinet doors enclosing a shelf, on tapering square supports, approx 41.25"h, 54.25"w, 20.75"d

Condition

01.23.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 3182: I note that the server is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the marble top having inherent natural inclusions and fissures, as well as typical minor chipping to the edges, which is sparse and mostly occurring along the unfinished back edge, the front edge having several small spots of beige colored concealment, presumably of a naturally occurring flaw or pitting, or of small chips, the ormolu having tonal variations from patination/ oxidation, light spotting, and typical mellowing, the drawer opening smoothly, and the cabinetry interior being overall well-kept/ clean, the cabinet door trim having some minor splits, which are typical, the parquetry panels with tonal variations arising from areas of fading/ discoloration, and I observe typical minor surface wear such as light abrasions, nicks, and a few scattered small veneer chips, all of which are commensurate with age and use
