10.24.24-I note that the console is presently intact and structurally secure, the marble top being securely supported by painted frame, the marble having inherent natural inclusions and fissures, as well as a few typical minute chips along the unfinished back edge, the painted finish is overall well-retained, with sparse flaked losses, and light scuffs to the legs commensurate with use, there are visible gilt-painted touch-ups, and there is a visible a tonal variation between the gilt paint applied at the fluted areas of frieze and the decoration appearing on the legs
