French mid-century modern sideboard, c.1960s, rectangular case with banded parquetry trim, likely in rosewood or macassar ebony veneers, fitted with four cabinet doors, revealing shelved interior, rightmost cabinet opening to two interior drawers, rising on squared and tapered legs, ending on metal feet, small concealed lacquer losses and reinforcements at upper front edge, approx 37.5"h, 88.75"w, 20"d
11.20.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1154: I note that the sideboard is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the lacquered finish having typical light surface wear such as minor nicks, abrasions, and a couple scuffs, which are overall sparse, commensurate with age and use, the top and lower edges of case with areas of lacquer peeling, chipped losses, and splits with minor lifting along the seams, some of these spots being filled or having reinforcement, the string inlay well-preserved and free from observed losses, the cabinetry currently operates smoothly, the interiors being well-kept and overall clean
