French Napoleon III salon or library table, 19th c., with Boulle-style brass marquetry inlay, gilt-metal mounts, having shaped top, above apron with Apollo mask roundels, fitted with single drawer, rising on cabriole legs, ending on sabots, approx 30"h, 59.5"w, 36"d, floor to bottom of apron (clearance): approx 21.5"h
02.19.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 3260- the table presents as ornate with fine inlays, the structure is stable and sturdy, the ormolu mounts appear to be present throughout with some variation in the brightness and tone of the gilding, I cannot definitively determine if select mounts have been replaced or later refreshed, please see images, the mounts are secured with darker nails and screws which are visible upon inspection, the single drawer slides smoothly and reveals a clean and well-kept interior, the top border exhibits surface wear including light abrasions, minor mars, and handling marks consistent with use, the central inlaid decoration remains well defined with strong visual contrast, I note typical small repairs, areas of reinforcement, and scattered painted touchups to portions of the inlay and decorated surface, this general wear and minor loss carries throughout the legs and body, with a few isolated areas of slight lifting to metal elements, particularly to one curved side panel as illustrated, overall the condition reflects display and use and is commensurate with age
