French Napoleon III period rosewood bookcase or vitrine/ display cabinet, 19th c., molded cornice, over frieze with floral marquetry, two glazed cabinet doors, lower inlaid panels with musical trophies, mounted brass trim throughout, on toupie feet, approx 62.25"h, 35.5"w, 12.25"d

10.24.24-I note that the bookcase is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the glass panels of the glazed doors being securely encased and currently being free from observed chips or fractures, there is patination and tonal variation of the gilt metal elements, the metal trim at the feet having a couple minor dents commensurate with use, the marquetry is overall well-preserved and I do not currently observe losses or restoration to the inlay, the top panel of case exhibits panel separation and varied degrees of splits, some with light lifting along the seam (see image), the interior shelving remains sturdy, and there is minute typical surface wear such as a small number of light abrasions, nicks, and chips to edges
