10.24.24-I note that the sideboard is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the exterior hinges and pierced metal mounts on the cabinetry having patination/ oxidation with spotting, I observe a small number of scattered typical minor splits, some larger splits appearing on the right-hand corner post of upper case but remaining stable, the opposite corner post having a small area of lifting veneer (see image), the medial surface having tonal variations from typical staining/ discoloration commensurate with age, there is minute evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin, the cabinetry operates smoothly, the interiors having typical staining, lower case with central split to upper shelf but remaining intact, and a sparse degree of typical surface wear, all being minor, such as small nicks and abrasions commensurate with age and use
