French Rococo style miniature longcase clock, 19th c., paint-decorated case with gilt-metal mounts, enameled porcelain dial marked V. Depose, with Roman numeral hour markers and Arabic second markers, time-only movement marked EM, above glazed and beveled pendulum window, rising on scrolled foliate feet, accompanied by pendulum, observed operating, starts and stops, back pendulum access door hinge lacking pin, approx 19.25"h, 5.25"w, 4.25"d, 4.75lbs
CR 11.19.25- As mentioned in the catalog description, the clock was observed operating, it stops after several seconds, the clock winds easily with little resistance, the suspension spring is intact and the accompanying pendulum is well-fitting, the back pendulum access door hinge is lacking a pin, causing the door to sit askew, I also note some overall paint flaking commensurate with age, typical light crazing to the dial, as with all of our antique clocks, this piece would likely benefit from a professional adjustment and a thorough cleaning of the movement
