5.20.24 - I note that the screen stands sturdy and the hinges appear intact. There are some noted paint flaking and small tears throughout the piece. These appear on all six panels but are particularly concentrated along the lower edge and on the rightmost panel. I also observe several small areas of professional restoration where the paper has been glued and painted over to match the surrounding wallpaper. Small losses and repairs such as these are to be expected due to the age of this piece. Please see attached images for examples of the above mentioned loss and repairs, but note that I did not photograph each loss individually and that there may be additional small damages that do not appear in these images.
