Exceptional French Louis XV style inlaid mahogany cabinet, late 19th/ early 20th c., attributed to Gervais-Maximilien-Eugene Durand (French, 1839-1920), having shaped marble top, over matched veneer case with dual cabinet doors, bronze dore mounts, fine floral marquetry and stacked cube parquetry, interior fitted with three adjustable-height shelves, rising on French bracket feet, ending on sabots, drilled hole in back panel, approx 59.5"h, 45"w, 13.5"d **Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**

Condition

10.8.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3225-the structure stands sturdy, the marble top is intact with some typical minute/small chips concentrated along the rough back edge and molded edges, there are a few possible small filled areas along front edge, all minor, see images, the marquetry wood case exhibits some tonal variation, minor spotting, some imperfections, minor areas of crazing to varnish, and some minor wood wear, curved sides show some lines/small cracks in veneer, and one curved lower piece varies in color (possibly professionally repaired?), see images,  the cabinet retains a key, doors open smoothly, interior shelving is secure, the back panel has a cord hole and two smaller drill holes, presumably the cabinet was attached to a wall, bronze mounts are all present and appear securely attached, bronze exhibits mellowing and some light rubs, overall the piece is in good antique condition, all mentioned commensurate with age and use
