Art Deco carved alabaster sculpture, "L'Attesa (The Wait)," signed G. Gambogi (Guiseppe Gambogi, Italian, 1862-1938), approx 23"h, 7"w, 12"d, 38.25lbs

03.21.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 3025: I note that the sculpture is presently intact and stands sturdy, the figure securely rising from the base, there are typical light tonal variations associated with light surface discoloration, and sparse scattered minute nicks, which are typical given the inherently soft nature of alabaster, one of the canted back corners of the base has a seam extending from the edge, seemingly branching off of a small minor chip, seam is very linear and I unable to determine if is original to the creation, such as incising, or if the seam is a stable hairline, or has been reinforced, the spot does not fluoresce under UV light, UV light examination is overall unremarkable
