Framed shin-hanga woodblock print on paper, "Kamogawa in Kyoto" Hiroshi Yoshida (Japanese, 1876-1950), signed in print lower right with red seal, Romanized pencil signature lower margin, titled, encased behind glass, sheet with taped hinging to mat, light toning to sheet, sight: approx 10"h, 15 3/8"w, overall: approx 13.75"h, 19.75"w, 2.5lbs 07.17.26: As described the sheet exhibits light toning, and is secured to matting by a tape hinge, the sheet verso displays old adhesive residue at other edges and corners related to previous tape that no longer remains, close visual examination does not reveal holes, losses, or tearing, and UV light examination is unremarkable, the right-hand edge of sheet exhibits staining and is overall rough, which I believe to be inherent to the paper, this edge also having minor staining that is mostly obscured by matting, the sky also having a few minute spots of light foxing (see images), glass is free from observed hairlines/ fractures, and the lacquered frame exhibits a sparse amount of typical minor surface wear such as a few light abrasion and nicks commensurate with use/ display
