Pop art book: "Andy Warhol's Index (Book)," stated first printing, a Black Star Book published by Random House, 1967, featuring the work of Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987), with the assistance of Stephen Shore, Paul Morrissey, Ondine, Nico, and others, including various interactive fold-outs, pop-ups, and inserts, photographs after Nat Finkelstein and Billy Name, expected wear commensurate with use, including small losses to interactive elements, possibly lacking elements, approx 11"h, 8.5"w, 0.75"d, <1lb **Provenance: Dallas, Texas: When the madness of collecting collides with connoisseurship** 3.24.26- please note that I am not an expert on books, so I have numerous for your reference, the exterior presents with visible including some surface wear, spotting, impressions and faint evidence of previous retail tag at front upper right corner, several interior pages are loose, overall pages are with light bending/edge wear, a few pages are adhered, possibly due to the deterioration of the original balloon element, several interactive elements remain including the medieval castle pop-up, red accordion (does not produce sound when pressed), bi-plane pop-up, tomato paste can pop-up, the Lou Reed flexi-disc page (attached), and the perforated blotter tab sheet (attached), the geodesic dome element is present but detached with the string remaining, the book lacks the additional inserts including the Chelsea Girls spring disc, rainbow nose fold-out, and balloon, overall the pop-up elements show light wear with minor creasing from handling, overall the book remains structurally sound with typical wear and some loss to remaining interactive components Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
