Italian Art Deco mahogany commode, c.1950s, having inset marble top, case fitted with three drawers, each with burlwood paneling, reeded corner posts, rising on ribbed and tapered supports, approx 32.75"h, 30.25"w, 15.5"d
11.22.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1113: I note that the commode is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the marble top being securely inset and having inherent natural inclusions and fissures, some of these naturally-occurring fissures and hairlines having filled reinforcement/ concealment and currently remaining stable, as well as having typical minute chipping at edges, the case exhibits typical tonal variations, such as light sun fading to the finish observed at side panel, there is patination/ oxidation of the metal pulls, the drawers currently operating smoothly, and there is typical minor surface wear such as small veneer chips to the edges of burlwood paneling, and a small number of light abrasions and nicks commensurate with age and use
