8/14/23 1:25pm - In my opinion regarding: LOT – 839: This bookcase is a typical European breakdown – breaking down into crest, back panel, side panels, doors, shelves, and base. This piece came to us from an estate in Italy – we do not know if the glass is original. I note the bookcase is sturdy, some surface wear throughout, including nicks, small loss to wood around the door frame, evidence of old woodworm throughout, wear at bottom of doors from use, small losses to lower trim at both sides, there is some warping to the doors causing them not to sit flush, all wear commensurate with age and use, I note the glass is double paned – (one) interior door with small cracks to glass, the rest of the glass panels are intact with no apparent chips or cracks, the two drawers operate fairly smoothly at this time.
