Italian Schiavona sword, believed to be 18th/19th c., users of this type sword included the guards of the Venetian Doge or Duke of Venice, the 1.7/8"w, 38"l straight blade with 29" fuller at both sides, a wire wrapped handle encompassed by the complex multi-branched guard with thumb ring, a "cats head" pommel, the blade with some pitting and black spots, edges good, but overall good, overall 44.5"l, 2.55lbs
