Book: "A Vaquero of the Brush Country," J. Frank Dobie (James Frank Dobie, Austin, Texas, 1888-1964), author signed on dedication page, illustrated by Justin C. Gruelle, published by The Southwest Press, Dallas, 1929, first state printing of the first edition, dated December 1929, six pages of photographic prints, including one color plate image, map at the front and end pages with the misprint of "Rio Grande River," which was revised to "Rio Grande" in the second printing of the second edition, snakeskin print covers, canvas-lined spine, 314 pages, approx 9.5"h, 6.75"w, 1.5"d, 2lbs

11.7.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 2430: I note that the covers remain securely bound, the spine with some separation but all pages appear to be present and remain secure (see images), the covers also with typical minor peeling concentrated at the edges and corners commensurate with age and use, a review of the interior reveals toning, light foxing, and some scattered spotting/ staining, I do not observe missing pages or tearing, one of the frontal pages with an inscription in pen dated 1930 from a previous collector
