Fine Japanese silver and mixed-metal vase and cover, in the form of a double gourd, applied stag beetle climbing a flowering vine, apparently unmarked, dent above beetle and two other dents to lower body, approx 6.5"h, 3 1/8"diam, 432.9 grams (inclusive of all materials)
11.25.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3182-I do not see any visible makers mark on the gourd, there is a dent to the shoulder near the rim above the copper beetle, causing the rim to be slightly misshapen and the lid to fit tightly, and two smaller dents at lower body near one of the incised leaves at back, there is some general tarnish, surface wear and inherent irregularity at the foot, metal is free of noted breaks, see images
