11.19.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 3229: the rests comfortably upon the wood base, a visual exam reveals the stone is now largely intact with some small areas of roughness and minute chipping along edges, natural inclusions, fissures, and small typical areas of stabilization, a UV light examination reveals (as described) old restorations to the arch and possible repairs where figure rests, see additional images, all typical of this type of sculpture and now appearing with only some seams and lines
