02.17.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 2199- please refer to online images for full views of the mirror as it is currently in a very cramped area of the gallery and not fully accessible, the mirror is overall intact exhibiting both (what appears to be) original gilding and some painted touchups, the crest is intact with typical scattered small losses to gesso foliates and flowers, as well as some glue repairs, the frame shows mellowing, rubs, lines and wear to gilding, there are some areas of visible gesso and small wood losses, the mirror plate is intact and free of chips or cracks, I note only some slight hazing, it appears to be a ‘diamond dust’ mirror, all mentioned commensurate with the type of mirror and age of the piece
