French Neoclassical silver (content unknown) and marble figural presentation trophy, marked F. Poisson (Fernand Poisson, French, 19th/ 20th c.), allegorical draped female figure modeled as the Roman harvest goddess Ceres, holding sheaves of wheat and the handle of a plow, standing atop a cornucopia, rising on integral marble socle with seated cherubs reading from an open book and sowing seeds from a sack, shield-form cartouches inscribed with presentation "Ministere de l'Agriculture Prime d'Honneur, Concours de Prime d'Honneur des Deux-Sevres 1906, Eugene Caillaud a Chantecorps," remnants of parcel gilding, two drilled holes below figure on front of socle, lacking applied element, approx 25.5"h, 9.5"w, 9.5"d, 42.25lbs (for shipping purposes only)
