08.10.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 1125- please note I am not an expert on Japanese bronzes, I have taken numerous high-resolution photographs for your review, under UV light, I do not observe any apparent evidence of restoration, the overall patina exhibits expected mellowing and tonal variation, there are typical casting irregularities, inherent imperfections, scattered nicks, abrasions, rubs and general light surface wear commensurate with age and handling, the bird is removable and is secured to the base by pegs at the feet, the talons are integral to the base, one wing is numbered wing and tail feather are numbered 15, the wings appear to be held by pins, please refer to the accompanying photographs, the underside retains a partially attached felt cover over the open base, I am unable to state whether all components are original, however I do not observe apparent evidence of modern alteration, overall the work presents well and stands securely
