Large Kashmiri papier-mache lacquered canisters/vessels, now fashioned as single light table lamps, of cylindrical form, painted with Mughal style warriors on horseback engaged in combat, wielding curved swords, shields, bow and arrows, set against a dense foliate ground, some loss to bases, one retaining partial tag (drilled through) marked Kashmir, lamp: approx 25.25"h, 7"w, 7"d, overall with shade: approx 32"h, 17 1/8"w, 17 1/8"d, 4lbs total

2.12.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2407- a UV examination reveals heavy varnish to the exterior of both, with scattered small flakes to the varnish over there, some inpainting and much loss and wear along the rim foot of each, one foot fluoresces slightly orange, I am unsure if this is repair, see images, both are overall intact with no breaks or major repairs to body, most of the aforementioned is mostly notable only with the aid of UV lighting, both stand sturdy and were observed operating for 5 minutes, shades display some creasing, denting and overall wear, I am not an expert on such pieces, please let me know if you have further questions
