Large Louis XVI style gilt mirror, shell and foliate crest, approx 56"h, 46"w, 70lbs

8.22.24-LOT 3325:  the mirror is presently intact, with the mirror plate being securely encased within framing, and being free from currently observed fractures or chips, and having sparse, minute spots of silver loss, the crest is intact with restorations (only very slightly visible from the front of the mirror), there are tonal variations throughout the gilt due to spotting/ oxidation, light typical surface wear such as fading, and areas of gilt touch ups at points of minor restoration, which are concentrated to the elements overlaid on the mirror plate (see images), additionally there are some minor splits and peeling to the gilt commensurate with age
