Kaendler (Johann Joachim Kandler, German, 1706-1775), with open beak, folded wings, over bent feet, blue crossed swords, incised model number E89 and impressed 69 underfoot,, retaining Harris Masterson collection sticker 729, intact with old professional restoration to one wing, faint hairline noted at mid-body extending under wing to rear tail feathers, see full report, approx 14.75"h, 10.5"w, 15"d, 11.5lbs **Provenance: Fred Nevill Antiques, one of Houston Texas' foremost antiques stores** 7.1.26- In my opinion regarding LOT: the sizeable figure is overall intact, as described the right wing displays an old professional restoration, under the restored wing I note a faint hairline extending from the front chest beneath the restored wing toward the rear tail feathers, please see images, there are some minor firing flaws, including one observed at the back within the crease of the left wing, faint crazing with associated age-related discoloration to the glaze, a chip to the underside at one toe, see image, a few minute scattered chips, very minor, noted along feather edges and teeth
