Large moriage-decorated porcelain vase, attributed to Nippon, now fashioned as a single-light table lamp, having flared rim and dimpled upper border, tapered body with painted floral motifs, accompanied by fabric shade, observed operating, apparently unmarked, vase: approx 15"h, 7.5"diam, overall with shade: approx 35"h, 18"diam, 12lbs
CR 8.29.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 1372 – as described, the lamp was observed operating, gilt trim and moriage accents remain largely intact with only typical light wear, mellowing, and minor loss, painted surfaces are vibrant and retain strong color, a UV light examination reveals a few dark surface marks to the right side of the body, I am unsure if these can be cleaned, light glaze crazing is present though it does not fluoresce under UV light, the pedestal foot is intact and sturdy, the shade exhibits light picks, minor wear, and some dirt, no significant loss or damage observed, all wear and imperfections appear consistent with age and use
