Continental armor and weaponry wall trophy, comprised of various weapons, including halberd axe, daggers with beaded trim enclosing quatrefoil motif, and shield with embossed copper roundel depicting a battle scene of Carthaginians victory under Hannibal over the Romans, affixed to leather-clad walnut panel with channeled trim, approx 52.5"h, 32.5"w, 6"d, 47lbs **Note: a similar battle scene appears on the shield of King Henri II (r. 1547-1559); one of several articles from the monarch's official parade regalia held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection**
