French LeFaucheux Model 1854 pin fire 12mm revolver, 6" part octagonal round barrel above the ejector rod, fixed front sight, six round cylinder, trigger guard with finger rest, walnut grips over the oval steel butt with lanyard ring, visible markings include at left rear of barrel on two lines "E. LeFaucheux, Inr Brevette", letter markings at underside of barrel, "N and crown" at right side of barre, cylinder with Liege oval mark next to crown N mark, cylinder front with hard to read possibly "20Coua", serial number at left partially on frame, partially on bottom of barrel lug, the serial number is usually identified as being within the range purchased for use in the U.S. Civil War, finish is mostly black, bore has light rust with well defined rifling, mechanics seem good, loading gate is loose, right grip with chip, left grip likely later with carving to fit, later lanyard screw under grips at butt, serial number matched in two places, SN 35758 Start Price: $150.00
