08/17/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT: 2154-  please note, I am not an expert on such works, so have taken numerous high-resolution images for your reference, examination under UV light reveals an aged varnish layer with scattered drips or accretions, particularly along the right side, scattered very small areas of lifting/paint flaking are present, most notably across the upper sky and mountain passages, with several small flakes visibly raised from the surface, see images, there is craquelure and a faint stretcher-bar impression along the upper edge, a small area near one of the lower central buildings fluoresces differently under UV and may represent localized inpainting, though I cannot confirm this conclusively, see images, the canvas appears free of noted rips or tears, the frame has a heavily weathered, rustic surface presenting as old barnwood, this appears to be possibly intentional however I am unsure, there are scattered wood losses, wear and evidence of old woodworm, overall the work presents well, with condition and surface character consistent with vintage age, handling and display
