French Louis XV style gilt-painted bijouterie or vitrine table, early 20th c., having lift-off top encasing glass pane flanked by foliated gilt metal handles, over glazed side panels, the short side panels being hinged for access to interior, with molded ram masks at corner posts, scalloped apron, rising on cabriole legs ending in whorl feet, approx 32.25"h, 29.5"w, 21"d
03.20.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 3115: I note that the vitrine table is presently intact and structurally secure, the beveled glass panes remaining securely encased within framing, and free from observed chips or hairlines/ fractures, the gilt-painted finish with light tonal variations associated with sparse spotting and patination, being overall well-preserved with typical scattered scraped and flaked losses, most being minor, the hinged panels operating smoothly and remaining securely supported by chain elements, the interior fabric lining with tearing and staining, would benefit from being re-lined, three of the feet having visible seams around the area of joinery of the whorl feet to the lower leg, close visual and UV light examinations reveal filled reinforcement to one foot with minor gilt touch ups, another foot with glue reinforcement, there are a few scattered minor splits to the raised trim appearing to remain stable, and there is typical minor surface wear such as sparse abrasions, nicks, and small chips commensurate with age and use
