French Louis XVI style mahogany console table, shaped top with geometric and quatrefoil parquetry inlay, over conforming apron mounted with floral porcelain plaques, rising on fluted tapering legs joined by scrolled gilt metal stretchers, ending on brass cap feet, approx 33"h, 51 7/8"w, 15.75"d

Condition

10.11.24-LOT 3100: I note that the table is presently intact and structurally secure, the top was previously fitted with a cut glass panel that is now lacking, the inlaid parquetry is overall remarkably well-preserved and free from currently observed losses, there is a small region at the left side of top where the varnish or sealant appears to have slightly yellowed, I observe professional reinforced seams around some segments of inlay, but I am unsure if this is original to the table to create a seamless ground throughout inlaid panels, the metal elements remain securely mounted to veneer, with light patination and spotting, the porcelain medallions are securely encased within metal framing and are free from observed hairlines and chipping, I observe sparse minor surface wear such as a couple minute nicks and small clusters of light abrasions to the trim of top, and sparse minor nicks to the fluted legs, all being commensurate with light use and age
