09.24.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3302: I note that the painting is presently intact and securely encased within accompanying framing, there is typical surface grime build up causing light discoloration commensurate with age, as well as some light toning to the varnish, the stretcher is later, and I observe numerous patched repairs visible at the canvas verso, the canvas has been re-lined, with remnants of another previous wax re-lining, and retains tack edge, there is a visible arch-shaped seam where the original canvas was reworked into the squared shape it appears as now and attached to a larger canvas, the approx 4” area above this seam where the aforementioned later canvas begins, there are small inpainted spots throughout ranging in size, and typical small flaked losses to pigment, particularly along the lower left-hand edge, there is another horizontal seam extending fully across several inches above the bottom edge of canvas, there is a visible repair to the middle-left area of greenery that measures approx 5”, the framing also with typical minor chipping to edges commensurate with age and display, please see attached images for review, including those highlighting areas of restoration under UV light
