Large French Provincial oak monastery/ refectory table, 19th c., rectangular plank top, rising on stretcher-joined turned supports, ending on bun feet, tabletop with large area of fill near long edge, redish staining to one end, approx 30"h, 170.5"l, 35.75"w, floor to bottom of apron (clearance): approx 24"h
05-26-2026: In my opinion regarding LOT: 3203- please refer to online images for best views as the table is in a cramped area of the gallery, the table is substantial in size and rustic, it is in stable and sturdy condition, the top is thick with typical stable splits, tonal variations, rubs, nicks and minor losses, some repairs, touchups and old restoraitons, as described there are some areas of fill, one being larger and in a contrasting material, see images, there is reddish staining to one end of the table, the central inner leg under the table top shows evidence of old woodworm with colored loss, see image, this does not affect the structural stability of the table, the underside of the table top has been lined/reinforced with later planks, see images, all mentioned commensurate with origin, age, use and the rustic nature of the table
