Italian school carved marble and iron figure of Hercules and the Erymanthian boar, 19th c., approx 60"h, 19"w, 18"d

04.30.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 4250: I note that the sculpture is intact and stands sturdy, the iron elements appearing secure to the marble with loss to the cream-painted finish and patination/ oxidation, overall there are tonal variations and surface discoloration, as is expected and typical with outdoor garden use, close visual examination reveals a professional restoration to the lower end of the quiver of arrows hung around the back of figure, and another professional repair at the wrist of the lowered arm gripping iron staff, additionally there is a minute hairline extending from the top of the boar’s head at base, appears fully stable, and a small amount of typical minor chips and scuffs commensurate with age and display/ garden use
